Relativity Desktop Client

Note that Relativity Desktop Client, the standalone application used to import and export data to and from Relativity, doesn't not only work on document objects. There is a drop down menu at the top of the window from which you can select different objects.

When exporting productions, select Documents, but then go to Tools . . . Export . . . Production Set

Media Tracker Application in Relativity

A Relativity database can use a Media Tracker Application which is described in detail here. It is an application you can use to track electronic media (CDs, external hard drives, etc.) that come in from other parties or vendors.

It is set up by going to Relativity Applications and clicking on 'New Application'.

Type in the name 'Media Tracker' and leave the Application Type set to 'Create new Application':

. . . as you can see Objects, Fields, View and Layouts are already created.

Media Tracker appears as a new parent in your Relativity Workspace.

Edit Permission for an Individual Field in Relativity

You can edit permissions for a single field in Relativity. Simply go to Administration . . .Fields. Click on the field name and then pick 'Edit Permissions'.

. . . then switch 'Overwrite Inherited Security' to 'ON'.

Simply remove the group that you don't want to have access to the field.
